Really daft question
Apologies for the really stupid....but where does Allure/Oasis sail from? Are Fort Lauderdale Cruise Terminal and Port Everglades Cruise Terminal the same place? Im getting myself really confused because someone mentioned that Miami isn't too far away either and I don't want to end up booking a Hotel near the wrong cruise port lol.

Yes, they are in the same place. The Port of Fort Lauderdale is called "Port Everglades Cruise Terminal". It can be reached just off SE 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale, so any hotel located on that road is very close to the port. It is also a very quick taxi or shuttle ride from any of the beach hotels.
The distance from Port Everglades to the Fort Lauderdale airport is also quite short - a simple taxi ride away.
Miami is a longer distance away and a taxi would cost about $70. There are shuttle services that are cheaper.

Do a search for "Fort Lauderdale" in Google Earth. You can see where the ships are docked. It's also a nice way to find out where hotels, restaurants, etc. are located.
