Norwegian Free Stateroom Offer

The summer months for 3/4 passenger has always been about 1K. NCL never runs KSF in the summer for obvious reasons so the pricing makes sense.

Passenger 1/2 fare (admin fee) $200-$225 per person....port charges $197 each (3rd passenger about 186) $99 18% gratuity (2) on UBP and fare for passenger 3 $1000.

If you choose to book with KSF in September your price would come down $1200.00 because the KSF would become your "perk" so you would lose the UBP so that brings down your fare by another $200 for the 18% gratuity and then it would be about $340 per person. Please note the fares for passenger 3/4 drop to $349 pp in September so you should price it with KSF and then also with paying a low fare for passenger 3 and keeping the UBP and then take what's cheaper. As an FYI depending on how much you will be in the casino the casino drink card may suffice.

I'm taking my daughter on this trip and she's a school teacher so September is not good. Thank you for the information.

We got a 10-day cruise in a balcony cabin for four. The total cost with taxes, DSF, and upgrade form the Ocean View to the Balcony was about $1500. seeing as over $500 of that was DSF that is not a bad price for four people for a 10-day cruise... We also got the UBP free (for two of us) and $100 game room credit.

I am a long time CAS cruiser, but I have been exploring other lines lately. It is interesting how the different lines run their programs. I am learning that one is not necessarily better than the others.

With CAS I am almost always comped an inside for 7 nights. Next one is booked for December, western caribbean on the Jade, so not really a premium cruise in any way. My final cost including upgrade to ocean view, taxes on drink program & fees is $521. I love that there is no single supplement, so my best friend will be in her own adjoining cabin. It's always nice when we old gals have our own bathrooms - haha!

HAL doesn't comp me cruises, but sends me offers that are all over the board. Last one we took advantage of was a 10 day partial Panama Canal transit. I was given a price for each level of stateroom right through a Neptune Suite. Inside would have been $99pp and Neptune was $899pp with the others falling in between where you might expect. It did not include any comp drinks in the casino or elsewhere, but it was a great value for us, saving a few grand.

I just booked my first cruise on Princess. 15 nights in a mini suite from San Francisco to Hawaii and back for $460 total. This was with a promo from Venetian/Palazzo in Vegas. No drink package with this one. It is saving us over $8000.

I love NCL, but I am enjoying checking out other lines and taking advantage of the different offers. I am finding NCL is less consistent these days, so we'll see what happens next time.

CAS upgrade prices are set amounts but you can still upsell to suites about a month out or wait until 3 days before sailing and upgrade to a balcony for $150 pp or to a minisuite for $250 pp which is cheaper then the CAS rates.

Do you do this through CAS or call the Upsell department?

Call the upsell department. They release all the lower cabins on the Wednesday before sailing. I had one instance on last BA weekender last year. I called CAS to upgrade to the H9 and they wanted $300 pp. I hung up and called the upsell department and they quoted me $180 pp so I took that deal. It wasn't a huge difference but enough to tip the scale in the upsells favor.

Yes because the booking was CAS though it doesn't make a difference because even if you do not book CAS you are stil entitled to your perks. It just will not be in your room waiting for you (BUT if you do not book originally through CAS your non rated cabin mates are entitled to nothing).

When you Upsell you have different envelopes in the room, CAS, Latitudes, suite letters etc. CAS does not care if you Upsell at the end, they have their players onboard.

I saw this phone number on another thread. Is this the upsell phone number?

Thanks!

I have two comped cruise certificates, One from Norwegian and one from Princess. Without any upsell, inside cabin/7 days New England on NCL for two was almost $1,000- (gratuity charges, administration fees, port, taxes). This does include 3 upgraded meals where I just pay service charges of about $13 and a drink card I can use for free drinks in the casino.

The Princess Cruise, Mexican Riviera, for the inside cabin/7 days was under $400 for two (port charges, taxes gratuities). No casino drink card on Princess however all the drinks ordered were comped.

Norwegian –6 specialty meals vs Princess - $600 in our pockets. Really enjoyed all the different/unique flavors of homemade ice cream each day in the dining rooms on Princess.

We had friends cruising over Spring Break, so we decided to call CAS and see what they could do. My husband called the office in Miami which I believe is a different number than the one on the mailings. We booked a 7 night cruise on the Escape, balcony cabin, free UBP, and SDP, and included our daughter for just under $1500. Again, not free, but a great deal.
