I just saw this review
Truthfully I'm astounded by your reply or quote
In my experience I have worked out that smokers have less then 00.05% of the entire ship
As a NON smoker I'm still astounded once again as you have made such a selfish commentt selfishness of other non smokers
Since your a non smoker you should be happy when you fellow cruisers complain in your defense. I know the people on the balcony next to mine were happy when we complained about balcony smoke and joined us in calling it in to the PSD.

We are thinking (seriously) about sailing on the Crown in late fall (Dec.?) and I am wondering what their smoking areas are now?
The Crown was our first Princess back in 2007, and we could smoke in our Room(!) and on our balcony!

It's not selfish. It's the rules. What is selfish is people who feel they are above the rules and that their "right to smoke" is more important than someone else's right to breathe. Smoke on your balcony and impact me in any way and I will definitely complain. I don't want to breathe or smell someone's cigarette smoke on my balcony. Period. Follow the rules or get off the ship. It's pretty simple.
Well said. I totally agree. We have called before on people smoking and will continue to do so in the future.

Back some 20 years ago, I smoked, (since the age of 14). Then I started cruising some 50 years later, but, since I was able to relax I found that I had no REAL desire to smoke so I quit cold turkey.
My thanks to cruising!!!

I smoked for more than 20 years. When I finally managed to quit I threw my Camels (none of those sissy filter jobs for me!) away. It was July 3. I was supposed to go to a 4th of July party the next day but we needed to "stop off" somewhere else on the way as kind of an obligatory check-in at another party. We stayed all day. Of course the original party we were supposed to attend was still going strong the next day. (We were much younger ) so we went there on the 5th. Again we partied all day. I lived through those 2 days without smoking and decided if I was able to do that I was able to never smoke again. It's been.... I can't remember! 28 years? 30 years? Something like that. It was one of the best things I have ever done. I am really actually surprised that people start smoking these days. Those who are smokers know it's difficult to quit and many don't really want to quit but to start smoking these days... Ah, well. Not my problem.

Thank you!
Just got off the Coral, smoking area deck 15 Starboard side right pass the Grill it is not covered and when in Alaska it was very cold up there from the wind, only time it was used was when we were docked in ports and Deck 7 Starboard side a little bump in place with nowhere to sit, standing only. Everyone mostly used the Churchill lounge because it was indoors on deck 7 Starboard side

Does anyone know if there is a smoking section on the 14th deck of the Crown Princess, specifically by the Terrace Pool? I got a room near there hoping that there is smoking so I can have my morning smoke! I purposely did not get a balcony room since smoking is prohibited and why waste the money. Please let me know if I made a good choice. I'm seriously thinking about cancelling this trip.

I sure hope so @Andwe...I just booked on the Crown also, and picked an aft cabin for the same reason (are you going 12/1? If so, don't cancel! We'll figure it out together

Glad you answered! I thought I'd get some snarky remarks about smoking! I'm booked on the 11/8 trip. Sure wish we were on the same trip!

There's a great smoking section a few steps above the Terrace pool, close to Adagio, with nice chairs and tables. It should be a 2 minute walk from your cabin.

Unfortunately, not so sure smoking is still allowed by the Terrace Pool on Crown Princess. Seems it may not be from what sister ships are reporting.
It's so hard getting CURRENT Information.
Do hope someone recently on Crown will reply.

Thanks. That's 2 floors above me. Not acceptable.

I hope someone replies as well. If smoking by the Terrace Pool is not possible I am going to cancel this trip. I'm reading the reviews of this ship and they aren't good at all. And, if it's SO inconvenient to smoke OUTDOORS near my cabin.....well, that is a waste of my time and money.

Could anyone update me on where the smoking areas are on the Grand? My husband has a medical condition that needs him clear of smoke as much as possible.
Thanks much

I've only been on the Diamond and Emerald so I'm not 100% sure this is accurate for all ships but as far as I knew smoking was only permitted on the top deck at the Tradewinds Bar. This was as recently as January.

Not being able to smoke anywhere else doesn't really worry me. I don't smoke enough to care about it.

That will never happen.
It's probably their biggest moneymaker & even if the majority have to suffer through the smoke fumes they'll keep it the way it is. (I just avoid it all together)

So much anger.
Its a pitty to be so stressed out when on vacation.
We don't smoke and don't get excited about smokers.
Belated Bravo!
