Hi there, was wondering if anyone has taken the ship's transfer into Rome. We wanted to spend a few days there post cruise and curious where ship's transfer drops you off in town (rather than airport). Will be sailing on Royal Princess Sept 9 out of Barcelona. Our first Med cruise and excited and anxious! Any advice appreciated! Debbie and Joe

Can't answer your direct question, never use ship transfer in Rome, instead use a private transfer, Romecabs.com This can be booked on line, pay on day of service. Will take you direct to your hotel... much easier with luggage. We have use Romecabs.com 3 or 4 times to and from the ship... well worth. Very professional and relieable.

I too would just book a private transfer. You would probably pay just a bit more for door to door service. Although if you count also having to pay for a taxi from whereever they drop you off, it is probably cheaper. We too have used Romecabs a few times and highly recommend their service. Or go to your roll call and see if you can find others to share.

We used http://www.jumplimousinerome.com/ and were very happy with them.

Thanks to all replies. Our TA suggested getting a transfer there but I like the sound of door-to-door drop off service.
