Hi,
Going on Norwegian Getaway to Baltic cruise. We would like to bring some liquor as souvenir to our friends in St-Petersburg, Russia. As far as I know I can't bring alcohol to the ship in my baggage, right (let's say if I bought something in US or in Denmark before boarding)? Is there a duty free shop on-board, and if yes, can I take bottles off the ship? Worse case - I will buy something in Russia, but would be cool to bring some authentic stuff. TIA

Brings your rubles and buy something off the ship.

You are not going to be taking duty-free purchases off the ship. There is a shop, but those (alcohol) purchases will be held for you until the end of your voyage.

Any alcohol you bring on or buy duty free (other than wine) is confiscated and held.

You can buy bottles, but not duty free. Add 18% tip to the prices below.

Insane bar bottle service up-charging aside, walking into a foreign country with a bottle of liquor smuggled off your ship that was intended for consumption on board just would be way too risky for me to suggest anybody actually attempt this. Even if security is much tighter getting on the ship vs. getting off into port, I feel like it's just easier for OP to buy some liqour in Russia.

Nothing leaves the ship, receive it last day.

If you buy off the ship and bring aboard... they hold it till last day.
