This was not my first trip to the Hawaiian islands, but it was the first by ship. I have done six, land based vacations there, spending a minimum of two weeks each time. I have been to the four islands we visited on the cruise, and have done most of the things that you will find offered as excursions on the ship. In a land based vacation, you can set your pace, and visit what you want, when you want.
I may throw in a little about the the islands from prior trips, but this report will be mainly about the cruise, and a little of the time we spent in the Bay Area before the cruise. The cruise was booked 13 months ahead, when Princess had their "come back new" sale that offered a $600 OBC. Our TA was offering an additional $350, and we got a little extra on top of that, so we started out with about $1,000 OBC. It may not be the greatest, but it was a decent deal. We booked a balcony on the Caribe deck just aft of the rear staircase.
This trip report will be just that, a report on both the lead up to the cruise, as well as the cruise itself. The report will have lots of photos, as well as copies of the Princess Patters, drink menus, and restaurant menus. So here are a couple of photos to peak your interest. It may take a little while to finish the report, so keep checking back as I work on it. If anyone has questions, I will be glad to answer them.
