You can bring your own soda/water. Per carnival rules, you are allowed to bring in 12 20oz per person.
There is free ice tea and lemonade. There is sugar on your table to add sweetness to it

Here is carnival policy with bring drinks onboard:
Quote:
What is the Liquor and Beverage Policy?

A liquor and beverage consumption policy was created in order for Carnival to be able to control the liquor consumption of minors and the quantities consumed that lead to the disruptive behavior of others on board.

Liquor and Beverage Policy

Bringing Alcohol On Board - Embarkation Day:

Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board. However, at the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring on board one bottle (750ml) of wine or champagne, per person, only in their carry-on luggage. A $10 corkage fee per bottle will be charged should you wish to consume this wine in the main dining room; $14 corkage fee per bottle in the steakhouse. (A corkage fee is a charge exacted at a restaurant for every bottle of liquor served that was not bought on the premises)

On embarkation day, each guest may bring a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages on board and only in their carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 bottles and/or cans, 20 ounces each or less.

All alcohol/hard liquor/beer (sealed, unopened bottles/cans), wine/champagne over the allowable 1-bottle per guest (sealed, unopened bottles) or excessive quantities of non-alcoholic beverages (over 12 per person, sealed, unopened bottles/cans) will be confiscated and stored for safekeeping until the end of the voyage. The retained item(s) will be available for collection onboard in a designated location on the morning of debarkation. Unsealed liquids that are prohibited will be discarded, as well as any unclaimed items left after the voyage, and no compensation will be given in either case.

Large cooler restrictions:

Carnival Cruise Lines does not allow guests to bring large coolers on board its ships. However small, personal-sized coolers, no larger than 12”H x 12”L x 12”W for the purpose of housing small quantities of non-alcoholic beverages and/or medications are permitted as carry-on luggage. Screening and movement of large coolers through embarkation is an impediment to the boarding and security screening process. Therefore, large coolers are not permitted as carry-on or checked luggage.

Ports-of-Call:

Alcoholic beverages of any kind purchased in any Port-of-Call will be retained at the gangway, stored on board and held by Carnival until the end of the voyage.

Gift Shops On Board:

Alcoholic beverages of any kind purchased in the ship's gift shop will be stored on board and be retained by Carnival until the end of the voyage.

Drinking Alcohol On Board:

The minimum age for the purchase and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages in the bars, lounges and gift shops is 21 years of age. In the event that Bar/Restaurant/Gift Shop staff are in question that a guest is less than 21 years old, they shall request picture identification, prior to serving the drink or selling the bottle of liquor.

Carnival reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcoholic beverages to anyone.

What Carnival calls ice tea is really bad. If your a tea lover, there are flavored tea bags in wooden boxes by the drink stations. Most people don't even no that it's there until someone tells them.

we mix the ice tea with lemonade-- takes a few tries to get it just right.

we also take a 12 pack of soda each-- he drinks diet-- i drink regular.
We have a small cooler one that holds 9 cans. we throw 3 of each in the cooler to keep cold for the day.

Mini fridges are just not cold enough-- and I dont like iced down soda.

sometimes coolers leak-- so keep it in the shower

Default Cooler

I am glad my steward keeps ice in my ice bucket, this I use for my BV bottles I order. Soda I bring on board I put in the little fridge. I do bring a cooler and have the steward fill it on port days. I use the cooler in port. One of our first stops is a liquor store where we buy the local brew, then we have it for the day. Beats buying it by the glass or bottle at an establishment. Often comes out to a buck a beer or less. Plus, if I by a local rum bottle, I have ice for a few drinks while touring the island.

Hauling a cooler beats sitting in a bar buying a beer or drink for more than 4 bucks.

That's why I don't drink the tea...unless it's a Long Island Iced Tea

You can brew your own tea. Lipton tea bags are available on the ship. Make a cup of strong hot tea. Put it over ice with lemon and sweetner what ever you like. Been doing it for years. Actually I order a crafe in the morning of hot tea and coffee. Keep the tea one (hot water) put the tea bags into in it and pour it over ice in my tervis and set for the day.

we have a soft cooler we use. We pack our bathroom stuff in it in our suitcase and then use it on the ship. We do have to leave it in the shower area so it doesn't leak. Our steward was great about keeping it filled. We bought soda on, and it was kept ice cold. I've heard the fridge's aren't that cold on the ships. (ps, gave her extra $ at the end, she was so great)

Or a Long Beach Iced Tea!!!

OP, if you are into tea, make sure and attend the tea time on the sea days. Yummy sandwiches and deserts. Usually around 3 ish. Look for it in the Fun Times.

You can bring 48 pop/water for the 4 PAX in your cabin. Must be in your carry-on, not in your checked bags. The savings and convenience is worth the bother. You can usually bring back onboard a few pop/water at your port stops.
