Question Sad - can't seem to go to Bahamas :(

With the help of this forum I recently decided to take my mom on a short cruise on Celebrity. I can't get the time off to do a 7 day, so we are limited to a 4 or 5 night. I was so looking forward to CocoCay in the Bahamas - it is by far my favorite port.

But it looks as if the ONLY option for that is one 3 night and it's showing in January only. I'm so disappointed!

The 4/5 nights mostly look like Cozumel, Fort Lauderdale - which we have both been to and don't find that great.

Does anyone know why Celebrity doesn't seem to go to Bahamas/ CocoCay? I know it's the shorter ones that go there, but that's what we wanted.

I don't know - I might go back to looking at RCL again so we can go to CocoCay.

Who knows why they do what they do at Celebrity? If Coco Cay is your desire, I'd find a ship that's going there and hop on it.

I would not book a cruise specifically to get to one port. There are so many times that things are cancelled or changed that you are just building yourself up to a possible disappointment.

Celebrity has never gone to CocoCay on their 4/5 night sailings.
Those short cruises? They have always gone to the Western
Caribbean. Can't give you the specific answer as to why they choose
not to go there but it probably has to do with $.

Or availability. OP Royal Caribbean's 3 and 4 day cruises stop a CocoCay, check them out.

would love to see Celebrity going to the Bahamas again. They skipped it however long time ago, I don´t know why, except for some single cruises.

Would be a nice change.

And this is especially true of a port like Coco Cay that requires you to be tendered in. I am a regular on the Royal board as well as the X board and I cannot tell you how many threads have been started on the Royal board regarding missing Coco Cay.
