Default Late arrival Miami in April

Looking for options on best place to stay night before cruise in Miami. We are not getting into Miami airport until 7:30p, so we don't need much. Must be clean and safe, would be nice to be close to a restaurant to grab late dinner and maybe a grocery store to grab last minute cruise items.

There will be 4 of us, me, my wife and our 2 kids. Looking to keep the cost down, and also interested in airport to hotel options, hotel to port and port to airport... any of these that are included in the hotel rate would be great.

Check out hotels in the Blue Lagoon area near MIA (Hampton Inn, Sofitel, Homewood Suites and others) - free airport shuttles and shopping and dining options within walking distance. There is a local strip mall across the street from the Hampton Inn (5 min walk from the Homewood) with a Publix grocery store, liquor store , Starbucks etc. along with several dining options (Italian, Chinese, and Cuban) plus fast food options.

Most of these hotels can arrange for shuttle service to POM for $10-12 per person, or you can cab it for just under $30 per cab (better deal for your family of 4). The ride to POM will take about 15 or so minutes. Have a good cruise!

Try the airport hotels, good value at the moment. You get free shuttle to the hotel from the airport.
Taxi to POM in the morning around 25 dollars plus tip.

Yea with a family of 4 your best bet is taxi from whatever hotel you are staying to the port.

Priceline "Express Deals" has a few deals on some hotels in April depending on your dates.

I've seen these prices on airport hotels:

4 star for $89. Need to taxi from airport, but it isn't far. 8.0 rating
3.5 star for $96 . . . includes aiport shuttle. 8.0 rating
3 star for $106 . . . includes airport shuttle and breakfast. 9.0 rating

All 3 hotels had "choose your bed choice options" which is great for families of 4. Prices could be slightly different depending on dates but I'd check those out.

Did you pick a hotel yet? There are a few of us from this cruise that are staying at Comfort Suites on Minola.

I stayed there last year, hotel is only a year old and very clean Not alot in the area but still great.

They also have free shuttle from the airport and to the port and breaky

We did, ended up going with Intercontinental. Since we are getting in later in the day, figure on walking to grab something to eat, grabbing any last minute items and then trying to sleep before the big day !
