Compass Sailing Bonaire

We've sailed with them 3 times and will do so again in about a month.

LOVE the day with Compass.

I can't figure out why everyone recommends Woodwind over them as Woodwind takes 30 people and has no shade on the boat whereas Capt. Wim only takes 12 and has a nice little shaded spot to get out of the sun (or rain :( as we had on our last trip).

We were on a Compass excursion last week. I would highly recommend it. Very knowledgable and they were constantly trying to please you. You will not be disappointed!!!!!

I am interested in this also. Do you get in the water by jumping off the boat?

If so, how high is it?

You can climb down the back ladder or jump off the boat. It is no higher than 4 feet. Wim and his crew are so nice and helpful. The excursion said light snacks. However, we started with mango juice and macaroons. Then after we were done, we had choice of drinks (soda, beer, wine, rum punch), homemade tuna sandwiches, and other sandwiches. You also have an area on the boat to get out of the sun. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

thank you for that info. Do they use inflatable vests or reg life vest? My main concern was jumping off ,then trying to get my flippers on. I am slightly older and use to a swim platform. But think I will be ok.

They use life vests that just slide around your waist, not inflatable or regular type. Very nice. I am older and I went down the steps with my fins on. Wim said walk on your heels and it was fine. My husband jumped in with his fins on. Just a wonderful time.

I e-mailed Compass 2 times. no reply. Does it take a while for them to get back to you? We are cruising in May

The email that I used was compassbonaire@gmail.com. Wim was very prompt with replying to the email. However, I do know that he was getting married the end of February. Not sure if he might be on his honeymoon. Hope you can get in touch with him because I know you will enjoy it. Good luck!

Just off the Compass in Bonaire!! They were fabulous! Only wish our excursion was longer. Lovely sailing and they take you to an amazing reef! They were very kind, fun and made you feel very comfortable!

I did this tour in March and totally agree with you.

How long did it take them to answer your email. I send a reservation request 5 days ago and have not heard back.

I'm also waiting for a reply.
