We are ready leave to sail Carnival Sunday

With all of the depressing threads on here about Carnival. I thought I would put a happy one.

Our group is leaving today fro New Orleans. We were all excited last night burning each others lines up. Some friends burning our asking why would go on a cruise now with Carnival.

Very simple. We all have summer or permanent homes on the Kankakee River. That when we planned this trip back in August we had a major drought and could not go boating. Some lost family members in this time.

No matter what we are going on the Conquest with a very open mind to have FUN...We've read about short cuts Carnival has taken from their usual food ,entertainment and shows.

But you know what. We don't care . We are a group of friends that no matter what are going to have a great time. We are very open minded and love to go on Carnival. We will see and report back what we find. But all we need is some laughter. As a joke we found portable potty garbage cans. Packed some dried camping food and we made sure we have a flashlight.

It appears that you have a wonderful attitude about your upcoming vacation. Please don't allow the negativity from the CC boards and the media to cloud your excitement. I'm excited for you as well, and hope that you and your friends and family have the BEST time ever on the cruise.
I have no doubt that Carnival will probably go above and beyond this weekend to make certain that your cruise is absolutely outstanding!

A friend just returned from the Conquest about 2 weeks ago, she loved it and I'm sure you will too. Have a great time! Counting down the 239 days til we cruise the Dream!
