State Department issues travel alert for Europe

I think "fear itself" is running ramped. I just returned and did see a lot more presence of armed police at certain large group locations, but life went on normally. Things would really have to get much worse before I would not travel to Europe each year. I am not a fearful individual...my personal opinion.

I always let the banks know when I am traveling overseas!

Flying to London next month, having lived there during the "troubles" and in NY on 9/11, I figure what the heck, I'm not truly safe anywhere.... when it's my time, it's my time and I'm going, whether I'm on a plane, in a car or sleeping in my bed at home. Life's a crap shoot....I'm enjoying it while it lasts. :cool:

My son and his partner are flying to Manchester from Australia tomorrow for a wedding.

While we can't live in a "bubble" and most of us don't intend to, do think the State Dept. issues travel alert for Europe should have been issued when they were.
