Newport tours, Viking vs Access?

Any comments on either of these Newport tours? The biggest problem is that we will be in Newport Sept 20 on a cruise and I understand that another ship is also scheduled to be there so there will be lots of people wanting tours. Access Tours does not accept reservations. I think I would prefer it but not sure.

Your right about having 2 cruise ships in Newport.

Have you considered doing Newport on your own? The city is very easy to walk. Is there something in particular that you want to do or see?

Looking at the tours offered by Viking & Access, many can be done on your own. Buy a Fodors Travel Guide or a Frommers for New England and you'll have your other ports of call covered also.

Do a search on this forum for Newport and you'll be provided with many suggestions of what & how to do it.

You are aware that Newport is a tender port? Just checkin'.
