Default Traveling with son's friend

I have never taken a friend of a child on any cruise so I am wondering what type of paperwork will be needed to take a cruise with DS friend during spring break?

Someone may know better but some years ago we took our daughters friend on a cruise. We got a notarized letter fron both parents that we had their permission to take their daughter on the cruise and we had permission to make medical decisions for them.

You will need a notarized letter from both custodial parents (2 letters if they are separated or divorced and have shared custody) that also gives permission to authorize medical care. Depending on the itinerary you may need at minimum an original Birth certificate and/or passport for the child. I recommend a passport to avoid potential hassles.

In addition, I would have a copy of their medical insurance information, any allergies and a copy of any prescriptions they may have.

You need a minor authorization form from Disney. I would also get parents to give you power of attorney in case of medical emergencies. We did this for our oldest DS in 2006.

Not to hijack the thread, but can someone tell me if I have nieces and nephews traveling with me from another state, should I list their actual address on the reservation or mine since I want all information to come to me? Does it matter? I'm still working with my sister to get their passports applied for, so we don't have those yet. Will the reservation need to match their passport information? TIA!

I'm pretty sure you put their actual information. If you are the one booking the cruise, especially if they are minors, the documents will come to you. Minors cannot be in a cabin without an adult. :-)
