Barcelona on Easter Sunday

For our 2018 cruise departing Monday April 2 we thought we would fly in the previous day (Easter Sunday) but I'm concerned that tourist sites might be closed or have limited hours. Also would it be hard to get a taxi from the airport to the hotel that day.

If anyone has ideas on this I'd love to hear them. We do plan to spend two nights after the cruise to sightsee.

1.) Barcelona has 2 million inhabitants... the city does not simply "shut down". Of course transportation does go on 365 days!

2.) " I'm concerned that tourist sites might be closed or have limited hours"... did you checked the websites of the sites you intend to visit?

Montserrat is 1 hour away from Barcelona so it's a day trip. I would suggest you consider getting a private driver to take you there directly from the airport, so your luggage can be in the trunk of the car, then after seeing Montserrat, the driver could bring you back to Barcelona and drop you off at your hotel.
