Smile Private hotel transportation Barcelona

Does anyone have suggestions for transportation (10) from airport Barcelona to Barcelona hotel? We are making our own air plans and have had Carnival make our hotel reservations. During a conversation with Carnival Rep yesterday, she stated that Carnival would not offer any transportation to hotel because we did not make air plans through them.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks so much

Taxis are readily available at the airport. Do a little research so you know about how much the fare should be to your hotel. (I'd suggest emailing the hotel and asking them.)

Do realize that if you are on the meter, the price can vary depending on traffic, route taken, amount of luggage, etc.

Do realize that Barcelona uses 24 hour time. So what in the US we refer to as 2pm would be 1400 hours in Barcelona. That may make a difference if you pre-book your transportation.

I have used many taxis in Barcelona. Do not assume that your drives speaks English. Be prepared with the name and full address of your hotels, a print out of the hotel WEB site (with a photo) and that sort of thing to show your driver.

Contact your hotel via email and ask if they contract with anyone to provide the transportation or....

Look at a Viator. They provide a private transfer from the cruise port to Central Barcelona for 19.51 per person. I imagine that would include a hotel in Barcelona or....

Barcelona Day Tours provides great transportation and you can add in a tour if you have time.

There will be many taxi's lined up just outside..Very orderly and easy to do..Just get in line and have the name and address of your hotel written down...give this to the person calling the taxi's and they will then tell the driver...From BCN to most hotels in the Las Ramblas area it will be approx 30 Euros.

We discussed this with our TA when organising transfers and pre- and post-cruise stays for our Barcelona to Rio cruise. She knows Barcelona well, and was absolutely confident that the best way to get from the airport to our Barcelona hotel is a taxi from the airport itself. All the taxis allowed within the airport compound are strictly regulated, unlike some independent taxis and transfer companies. We looked at the prices and there is a huge difference between a pre-booked transfer and a taxi picked up at the airport. We had been concerned about 'rogue' taxis, but she reassured us that they are regulated at the airport. We will use the hotel to order a taxi to take us the the port two days later.
