No.

You can...if you choose...have formal night every single night. Norwegian will never require anything other than resort casual...on any night and in any venue.

No formal nights of any type on NCL.

There used to be a "dress up or not night" , but this is no longer done.

It is called "Norwegian's Night Out". You can dress up formally if you wish, but don't feel you will be out of place if you don't.

Dress up or not any / every day you want... That's the beauty of freestyle. You will never feel out of place no matter if you dress up or not. Many times we have decided to have "date" night and get dressed up, other nights too tired. Enjoy whatever you decide.

Safe sailing

As stated above, with Freestyle Cruising, dressing up is optional. The photographers are available most nights if you want to dress up for a family photo. We were aboard the Gem during a New Year's Eve Cruise. Even on New Year's Eve, there were some passengers dressed to the nines, while others were indulging in the comfort of their resort casual clothing. Enjoy your cruise on the beautiful Gem. :)
