We went to Barefoot Beach in October. I don't have exact directions, but the island is small. After you tender, ask the staff to point you on right direction. Eventually you will see a sign or two. It was easy to find(Maybe someone else will be of more help). We loved it, beautiful and not crowded. Had a lot of rays and sharks swimming past us, can't wait to go back!

Have a great cruise!

When you get to the beach area, walk all the way to the right. Barefoot beach is a MUCH nicer beach than the one you will reach first. It was full of seagrass and sticky mud, and made us cringe and wonder why RC would choose this as a beach location. We walked in the water to try to get out of the muck and grass, and found our way to Barefoot beach, then laughed when we saw the sign with that name. Apparently the first beach should have been named "don't go barefoot" beach, lol. We really enjoyed Barefoot beach a lot.

The buffet has very specific and limited hours. Be sure you check the Compass or make a point to check the signs at the buffet area before making your plans. We showed up for lunch at around 1:30pm, and everything was cleaned up and closed down. There weren't even drinks available. We were very hungry and thirsty, and it made for a long tender back to the ship.

  • 2 weeks later...

barefoot beach is very nice but not a secret anymore, but still less crowded than the first beach off the tender.

we had a great time but got some sun burn, the sun is different there than in ohio, lol.

not too burned that it ruined our time but peeled real good a couple days later.

had a blast.

Unless something has changed, Barefoot beach is reserved for Suite passengers.

That's Barefoot beach on Labadee that is a suite / pinnacle only beach, OP is referring to Cococay.

OMG...Coco Cay is so small...just walk! You'll find your perfect spot! You'll know it when you see it!
Coco Cay is almost a mile long, but most the activities are grouped on the East end of the island, East of the Tender Port(s). Barefoot Beach is on the South shore a third to half way toward the West end.
