I have not been there.

Tom Moore's Jungle is located next to the caves. Bus routes #1, #3, #10, & #11 will get you there.

Do you know if the food at the Tavern is any good?

I've never eaten there, but on TA, 85% of the reviewers gave it RECOMMEND, and 72% gave it an excellent rating. This is out of 110 reviews.

We went. It was awesome! We were the only ones there...

Really peaceful day. The easiest way to find it is to get off the bus at the Swizzle Inn stop and walk down to the gas station (towards St George). The walking trail will be on the right side.

Our visit was great but there is a lot of conflicting info. We took the ferry to St. George and took a left out of the building, went to the corner and caught that bus. I think most buses will get you there (seems they make a circle?). Anyway, we asked the driver to tell us when to get off and he did (it was right after Crystal Caves). We apparently entered from the opposite side of most because we first saw the tavern which we were told would be at the end of the trail. It also had the hours and did not open until 6:00 pm. The last ferry back to the ship was at 5:30 so a visit to the tavern was out.

To me, there was nothing "junglish" about this area - more like woods. The path was paved and wide (scooters were driving on it) and it went straight through from the main road to another main road (with the gas station).

Near the tavern was a very cool cavern area and we took bread and fed the fish - so many. We then continued on the paved path but could take short little paths off to see other caves and interesting areas (you cannot get lost, it is very short and you are always near the paved path). Once you get to the beach area, look for a massive cave - it is near the beach and we really had to look to find it - there were two openings that connected. We wished we had a flashlight. Near that area is a deck area with tons more fish - one kind had blue lips. It was fun to feed them. I am sure you could swim there also.

It probably took an hour for us to explore and we saw a lot. There may have been more hidden caves but we felt like we found it all. We exited at the gas station and caught a bus near there that took us back to the ferry area. We shopped a little and headed back to the ship. We had taken the 2:30 ferry to St. George and caught the 5:30 ferry back. It was a great afternoon.

Was it buggy? About how long did it take to explore?

We are considering spending one day doing one of the caves and some sight seeing in St. George. We won't spend too long walking around the town. Wondering if this is something we could add to the day.

Not buggy at all. I took bug spray but we did not have to use it. We did wish we had brought a flashlight.

You could definitely add it to your day. You could explore it all in an hour. W definitely enjoyed feeding all the fish (two different areas - one close to the beach in a clearing, has a deck built. other is near the tavern which is where we entered - fish spot on the left if facing the tavern's front)

It was not buggy. We were the only people there. We stayed for about an hour to an hour and a half.
