Default New rate schedule

am I the only one not understanding the new rates. If I booked early saver under the old schedule, what is it under the new?

How do you do a comparison?

Early Saver......and as you booked ES before the rate change, you can still "Match" to guarantee offerings by giving up your assigned ES cabin for a TBA guarantee cabin. ken

While that is true for any bookings made on/after 12/3 - the following is true:

IF you booked your ES fare prior to 12/3, you CAN still price match to a rate code with a guarantee assignment and give up your assigned cabin.

IF you booked your ES fare on or after 12/3, you CANNOT price match to ANY rate code that offers a guarantee assignment.

Yes so what I said is true **From here on out~if you book Early saver.....** I just didn't say anything about if they had already booked early saver as Ken had already clarified that so I didn't want to repeat the same answer~

Here is what you have to understand. In the end, this is a mostly a price increase. I had priced several cruises a week or two before the change. I found that if I wanted to select a cabin, all the prices increased considerably particularly with the newer bigger ships. If Carnival selected the cabin, the increase was not as large. This makes sense for Carnival to do this because they now have more control of the cabins as the you get closer to the sailing date.

The one exception was the Military rate. It appears to be one of the lower prices and you still get to select your cabin.
