Tourist killed by donkey in Santorini

Can't see that this has been reported on this forum yet. Terrible news about a cruise ship passenger knocked down and trampled by one of the donkeys on the path down from Fira

I’m so sorry. It’s a terrible story.

It is very sad. The article said she was walking around town, it didn't mention the donkey path. It was a runaway donkey.

We were there the following day and heard about the death. We were told she slipped on the "donkey steps" but apparently, according to this article, is incorrect.

We were in port on Crystal Serenity, it was heard thought Santorini and very sad. Many were walking down the donkey path as the line for the cable car was over an hour long. Sadly too many ships and too many passengers to enjoy, and the donkeys were overwhelmed

We were there A few days after this happened and were told by our guide that a woman had slipped and fallen on the donkey path, and subsequently the lady suffered a kick to her head by donkey
