Hi! Does anyone out there know of any Hotels in New Orleans that offer parking for your car while cruising? There are a few in Galveston that do and we found it to be quite convenient to arrive the night before and leave the car at the hotel. In put and reviews would be most appreciated.:)

Thanks!

This info pre-dates the hurricane, but the hotels near the pier all offer park and cruise deals, especially the Hilton.

I stayed at the Hilton a few weeks back. We didn't have a car, but I noticed the parking rates were $24 per night... Maybe they offer a better deal to cruisers...

They do have a special rate for cruise and park guests... you would have to check what it is currently.

Depends on how much you like walking with your luggage?

Personally, I would take a taxi.

Intercontinental Hotel is pretty nice and streetcars run in front of it. Some things about the hotel (e.g. the mini bar) can be a little pricy, but I like the hotel. Mother's Restaurant is an easy walk.

I'll be on Spirit for Christmas and posting too many pictures.

Some pictures from Intercontinental from about a year ago on this page:

This site is usually kept pretty up to date. It doesn't have all of the hotels that offer parking during a cruise - you can always ask. Some will depend on when you're going to be cruising.

The best way to get to the pier is by car (or taxi). You CAN walk from some places, but it's not too convenient - especially if you're dragging luggage. Cost of a taxi from downtown hotels isn't that much.
