Six of us have planned a Rhine river cruise on Avalon - we were wondering if the "beverage package" at $25 per day is worth it - we expect to have a couple of pre and post dinner beverages since we are celebrating "milestone" birthdays. Thanks

We were on Rhine Cruise in September and I thought the "drinks package" was 179 Euro each. We opted out and we fine with that - most days (maybe even every day) there was a 2 for 1 time pre or post dinner. Dinner was unlimited wine or beer, and I found that was very generous, they were constantly filling glasses and filling them well :) There were times we were out for the afternoon in port and simply had a drink there before returning to ship.
