It used to be cruises, but a lot of people take a lot of three day cruises making them platinum before those who take 5, 7 day or longer. Now it's by day and every one is on the same playing field. Or sea. Playing sea.

Actually, at the moment it's both......if you achieve 10 cruises before the end of 2013 you will be grandfathered into the Platinum program. If not then it's strictly the number of days sailed to reach each of the levels.

However, there is a grandfathering period. For those who will have completed 10 cruises (regardless of length/days) by 12/31/13 will be grandfathered into the Platinum status. If 10 cruises are not completed by then, 75 days will be needed to rank Platinum.

Other tiers: gold at 25 days and diamond at 200 days. First cruise is still blue and 2nd cruise until 25 days is red. No grandfathering for these tiers.

Until the end of 2013 those that complete 10 cruises by the end of this year will be grandfathered in to Platinum status no matter how many cruise days. Once 2014 hits it will convert completely to days with 75 days required for anyone new to make platinum.

I'm going to start digging through old boxes and see if I can find supporting evidence for Mardis Gras cruise I made that am not getting credit for. I want to be platinum by the end of the year and am even hoping to find someone else that may be in the same position as me that would like to share a room.
