What to do in the evening

Our ship is in port from 1 to 10 pm. We have afternoon plans but as of yet we haven't seen anything 'to do' in the evening on the island. After an early dinner on the ship we would like to go back on the island but we haven't seen any suggestions posted as to what the town has to offer.

Suggestions from anyone?

The RIF Fort is walking distance from the ship, just follow the yellow brick road. There are numerous restaurants, ice cream shop (delicious ice cream sodas), and stores within the fort. A favorite seemed to be The Cheesery where you can order some wonderful cheeses and pair them with wines (they also serve fondue and raclette). Walk through the fort to the waterfront and walk over the pontoon bridge, it's all ablaze at night in beautiful changing colors. The stores outside the fort close at 6:00 p.m. but the stores inside the fort stay open later.

You can Google the RIF Fort, Curacao, to learn more. We didn't want to go back to the ship, the area is safe and clean, everyone was very welcoming. It is a great place to hang out in the evening. There was an outdoor café before you get to the Fort where it looked like the entire crew was there using their wifi.

We went to the beach for a couple of hours, returned to the ship, took a shower and made our way to the RIF Fort and spent the evening there.

We'll be there in January and I've booked a sunset cruise with Bounty Adventures. :)

Hi canadarocks,

I think we're on the same sailing in January 2018...

Question...do they meet us where the ship is docked or do we need to find our way to them???

Thanks,

For an extra $9 per person they pick us up at the pier, and return us afterwards. :)
