We are going to the beach and them hopefully walk around the pier. I love looking at shops at port( please don't judge me) will the beach and port take American money? Are there a lot of little shop to look at. I never buy anything real expensive.

Yes there are a lot of shops in the port shopping complex. And some just outside the port (appears to be growing slowly in number). Most are typical cruise port providers but there are shops that sell "local" merchandise. Be sure to check the labels for 'Hecho En Mexico' not 'Hecho En China'. :eek:
