how exactly does this work? There are 6 of us but only 3 suitcases. we are cruising on the Breeze but have a 7:30pm flight out of Fort Lauderdale.

Trying to figure out what to do with all that extra time. I would love to just hang out at Bayside for a few hours, but dont want to drag our luggage around with us.

what airline?

Luggage express costs 20 bucks per bag (plus the cost of the bag on the airline) and it must be on the right airline that accepts the luggage express

Fort Lauderdale - AA, Delta, Jet Blue, Air Tran, Continental, US Air, United and Southwest.

Carnival's definition of an "eligble guest" is

o U.S. Citizens and Canadian Citizens with proper travel documentation; if flying to Canada, a valid passport is required.

o U.S Alien Residents with an Alien Registration Card.

o International Guests with proper travel documentation traveling to a U.S airport or Canadian airport destination.

Another thing you can do, but it costs more than luggage express, is take a Carnival tour that also includes a transfer to the airport. There are a few to choose from. I did the South Beach Experience once and it was a great way to spend the time, then I was at the airport in plenty of time for my flight. Luggage stays in the bus during the tour. Look for the tours under shore excursions.

Luggage express Is $20 PER person plus the price the airline baggage fees.. SO...

you need to figure out what combination works best for you

Ie: 2 persons do luggage express... $40 plus 1 person checking 1 bag(25)each and the other 2 bags (60) =$125. Or

3 person (60) plus 1 bag each(75) = $135

Remember with luggage express they also print out your boarding passes... So who ever doesn't use it needs to check in online and print out boarding passes and/ at the airport

And also when we have used luggage express, we had to wait in a lounge until luggage express was cleared by customs to leave the ship... The others will be able to walk off when the do self assist

Actually for the breeze the muster in the dining room... Check your name off a list and you wait til everyone that used luggage express was there and they escorted us to the front of the line off the ship and in customs

ok thanks, never thought about doing the math for it. We were hoping to be able to stay on the ship as long as possible since we have nothing to do till our flight at 7pm. guess not

I think the HOHO from Bayside will store your bags for you also heard there was a place (luggage shop) that will store them as well not sure on that

maybe someone that has used them will comment

Some cruise lines offer excursions & will take the bags on the bus then drop you at the airport
