HAVING JUST RETURNED TO MY HOME HERE FROM XMAS ON THE AMSTERDAM, I DREADED TO SEE THE MEDIA REPORTED DESTRUCTION OF THIS BEAUTIFUL ISLAND.

HAPPILY, MOSTLY IT IS UNSCATHED,APART FROM THE RESORTS OF kAMALA AND PATONG, THE TRUE HORROR OF THE TSUNAMI BEING ON THE MAINLAND AREA OF KAO LAK,OVER 2 HRS DRIVE FROM HERE!

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS FOR TOURISM TO TAKE OFF AGAIN TO ENABLE THE AMAZING THAI PEOPLE TO START THEIR LIVES OVER AND ANYBODY VISITING THE AREA OF MY HOME WWW.LAGUNAPHUKET.COM WILL FIND IT AS STUNNING AS EVER.

Chaba, Good to hear from you. Was concerned if your Phuket house was destroyed.

Hope you had a good cruise to Antarctica. See you in HK.
