Just off Carnival Conquest b2b. Any questions?

Just make sure the cruises are linked either over the phone or at check in. They will give you instructions for the rest. Very easy :)

How do you know if they are linked. I did the first booking online and called Carnival directly to do the 2nd. Does that mean they are linked?

Contrary to the misguided beliefs on this forum, there is no such thing as "Linking" accounts for a B2B!

  • You get a new Sail and Sign card with a different folio#.
  • You need to pay off your account in full prior to the second cruise.
  • You need to talk to the Maitre'd about your table on the second leg.
  • You need to book excursions separately by cruise.
  • You need to clear customs and come back on as a new guest, etc, etc, etc.

At best, they will place a note in your computer records stating you are aboard for the second leg. People here make it seem like if you don't "link" your account they will be thrown off the ship for the second leg, jeesh! THERE IS NO "LINKING".!

One can go to GS and tell them you are on a B2B, but even this is not needed. I've done B2B's where I did not say one thing to GS, guess what?, I got a piece of paper under my door the last night of the first leg telling me the procedure for B2B passengers!

Both times I have booked one, the pvp told me they were linked. No, it doesn't change many things, but it does ensure that they are aware especially when you are not staying in the same cabin. The cabin stewards get a notice ahead of time which helps them plan their day, we usually get gifts in our room, etc. It also ensures that there will be staff to escort you through customs so you do not come back as a "new guest." New guests have to go through the entire boarding/check in process. No need to be nasty.

Thank you both for the information. Please be nice. I'd hate to think my first post turned into a brawl.

Hi all....My name is Sandi. My husband, Kevin and I will be cruising on the Conquest on 1/7 to 1/15/2017. We are getting excited as it is only 4 weeks away. We are avid cruisers. I have been on 30 and hubby has been on28. We usually cruise Carnival. Looking forward to meeting you all. Is there a meet and greet set up? I also have a question. We usually select our cabin, but this time it was cost efficient to let them assign a cabin. Does anyone know when they will assign the cabin. I am anxious to print out luggage tags.:):)

I am on the sailing right after yours (boarding on 1/15) and we got our cabin assignment a few days ago. I did not get any notification, I just happened to notice that it had been assigned when I was in my booking for another reason.

A couple of times in the past, I've had them wait to assign our TBA cabin, until check in! If you haven't received your assigned cabin number by embarkation day, just ask the porter when you check in your bags, and he will have a list of the assigned cabins, and he'll make tags for your luggage at that time. No problem.

I am doing my first B2B in October of this year {so excited} can you please tell me if since I am changing rooms {just going next door} what the procedure is? do I pack up all of my items? if so when? and what do I do with them? I am meeting a friend who is going to join me in the same cabin so also can you tell me what the procedure will be for that? should I meet her later or will they let her aboard early{just wishful thinking maybe}?

You pack up your stuff and leave it in the room. The steward will move it to the new room. I doubt they'll let your friend on the ship early. You'll be escorted off back through customs and right back on. When we did it in December we had the whole ship to ourselves for 2 hours.

Yeah, I doubt it too! I would like to get off in time to meet her though so we could get our picture taken together (I collect the first picture on boar). Maybe they will let me just go back down or she can purchase the FTTF? She hasn't been on a cruise in over 20 years and that was on the small ships..lol and... She was the one to introduce me to the wonderful world of cruising.

Yes you can get off. They'll give you an "In Transit" ticket so that you can bypass all the lines and sail right back on the ship. When we did ours we went to our cars to get a new round of sodas and wine to take on the second half and we were back on the ship in less than 5 minutes. You can have her let you know when they start boarding and you can walk off and meet her then.

Can you reserve seating in any of the shows especially the comedians?

You can't reserve seating, but we managed to get a seat every time as long as we got there a little early. They actually cleared the lounge after most of the shows to give everyone a chance to get in.

I am doing this same b2b on Conquest in April, staying in the same cabin for both segments.

I am thinking there is no need to print luggage tags for the second cruise. Is this correct?

That's correct, just leave everything in your room :)

As an added tip, if you tell your room steward that they can skip your room the morning of debarkation, they will love you forever lol.

The steward may skip changing the sheets. But I guess KroozFoolz would also want to have his room made up for the day :)

Actually last time, we walked in after breakfast the day before debarkation and they were changing the sheets.
