Best authentic in Cozumel

I've eaten at two places in Cozumel and we are looking for a place with authentic mexican food, in it's truest form. Any suggestions? Off the beaten path is okay for me.

It was a while ago, but I did a food tour through a Cozumel Chef last time I was in Cozumel and it was such a fun, interesting experience. A chef (who used to live/work in the US, but now lives in Mexico) takes a small group to a variety of different restaurants and a market. These are all away from the touristy areas of Cozumel and a great variety of delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine. Very convenient too as she provides the transportation, orders and pays the bill - so nice and relaxing experience.

My husband and I took a taxi to La Choza. The ride cost about $7 and it was a few blocks off the beaten path but not too far as we walked back after we ate. The food was delicious!!
