Island Princess cabin ? about balconies

Am trying to decide what deck to book on the Island Princess. Have cabins picked out on Emerald Deck and Baja Deck. I have read that Baja deck balconies are not covered and am concerned that I may miss the privacy that I'm used to. I do enjoy being higher in the ship but would like your opinions please. Thanks.

We stayed in Baja 304 and 306 and they are covered. Good location (stairs) and quiet.

Princess representative assured me that A-429 is totally covered. Another poster said it is partially covered. Your comment above indicates that A-429 is uncovered. I now have three versions of my booked cabin. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what we get when we board the Island next year. :)

All the balconies are covered on the Island Princess. The Lido deck comes out quite far, so the balconies that aren't covered by the deck above are covered by the Lido Deck. Enjoy

I believe you are referring to Sun Class ships.I have sailed the Island four times and have had uncovered balconies on both Caribe & Dolphin decks. There are also some uncovered balconies on Aloha and Baja in the rear of the ship.

I did a search on balconies and found the following info:

I was in C328 on the Island, which was partially covered and thought it was perfect for Alaska. It was twice the size of the totally covered and totally uncovered.
