Distance from ship to train

We will be visiting St. Kitt's this November and I need to know how far you have to walk from when you get off the ship until you get to the train. I have mobility issues and cannot walk long distances. Also, should that be too far, are there shops right at the port that I could visit using a scooter? Thank you for any help you can give me.

If you doing the train and booked it through the excursion/tour desk on the ship or the cruise lines web site etc, the train has buses that will pick you up at the pier. It is to far to walk for anyone. It is near the airport. There is shopping at the port that can accomadate your scooter.

How long is the bus ride to the train?

about 10-15 min max, that is at the beginning of the train tour. The train does not travel the complete distance around the island. There is 20-25 min bus ride from the end of the train tour back to the port area.

if you did the train tour independently, how much is it?

Generally, you will not be able to book the train independently IF the cruise ship that you are on has an agreement with the train excursion operators.
