Paradise, 4 nighter to Cozumel. Base price OV 69.00 - I went solo so I paid 138.00 before tax/fees. I could have had an inside for 98.00. Booked less than 2 weeks before sailing.

Had just cruised Splendor not even a month before from San Juan to Miami on an 8 night repositioning cruise. That was a great deal too, 219.00 and for a balcony, so for me a solo on that one too, 438.00 before tax/fees. Could have had an OV for 90.00 less. Booked 17 days before.

Loved both ships/cruises. Great memories.

Mine was $500 on Imagination ocean view for 2 and when we got to the port, we had been upgraded to a Grand Suite!! this was in 2008 when they were still doing actual upgrades!

Wow that is amazing. I bet your jaw dropped when you walked into your cabin and saw what you got for $250.00 each.

Carnival Miracle last week- just got back from a week to Mexican Riviera

$1,409 for a balcony for two people everything included. Everything included upgraded to 8E (8th deck Panorama) plus $100 OBC. Not directly thru Carnival though. Love the Miracle. Not crowded at all.

I'm booked on it right now but it is 187 days away!

Lido Deck Balcony (everything higher is sold out) on Sunshine - 11 night cruise and if you just use the cruise rate, it works out to $69.90 per person per night. I prepaid the gratuities and after port fees, taxes and gratuities, it still works out to be $93.63 per person per night!

Casino Rate - my first ever Casino Offer!

So excited, I can't stand it! :D 11 night! Still amazed!

The last two pack and play offers we've gotten were our best..we paid 90 bucks each for an aft extended balcony for 4 days out of Jacksonville and we paid 50 bucks each for a 4 day inside porthole on the upcoming Paradise cruise. Each cruise came with 100 OBC... I love love love the pack and play offers...We don't have tons of vacation time but we've managed to sneak in 3 cruises so far..I'm hopeful for more pack and play offers!

As I said before, we got a great deal for The Dream in a Cove Balcony for 10 day Caribbean San Juan and ending up in New Orleans, for $1400/2 with $200OBC. I just started looking at airfare and finding the flights to San Juan few, and very few direct flights, in other words, a pain in the butt to get there!

How good of a deal is it if the airfare is expensive or flights are a hassle, especially if you're not really going for the ports? We could go out of Baltimore for 7 days without flying, but, so far, we'd be paying about $190/2 per night for 7 days. A 10 day cruise is better then a 7 day one!

My last cruise when the Valor moved from San Juan to PC. $199/pp for 5 nights. Plus with sales & promos for using my Carnival credit card we ended up with about $75 OBC each.

Not as good as some posted here, but I was happy!

Got a call from my PVP in June. Got a 11 day Journeys cruise on Triumph. $75 per person deposit ($150 for the 2 of us), which we would get back in $150 on board credit. Balance was $240, which is just port charges and fees. Got to love a free cruise!

Last May on the Fascination I booked a 1A (solo) for $179 for 5 nights - total was $250. Then in July I had booked a 1A porthole, also solo for approx $400 - day before I cruised Carnival called and offered me a free upgrade to a balcony.

I also miss the no single supplement specials. Sure wish they would bring them back.

  • 2 weeks later...

The 8-day repositioner from New York to San Juan on the Splendor - balcony room for $130/person (obviously not counting the port fees/taxes) and $50 OBC.

Even having to fly from the West Coast where I live to NY and fly home from Puerto Rico...flight fares were more than fair, so all-in-all it was awesome!

Mom paid. BONUS! :D:D
