transatlantic which cabin

Side of the ship is only important if you are planning on sitting and getting sun on your balcony. When in an OV, you really don't spend much time sitting and looking out the window. Depending on the ship/cabin, you might not be able to sit by the window. EM

We sailed the Atlantic, Copenhagen to New York City in October and having not taken into account which side was the sunny side ( we come from the southern hemisphere so got it back to front!!!)when we booked a balcony cabin we were grateful we had the shade as the weather was unbelievably hot (38 degrees) and we could sit outside and not roast.

Thankyou for your thoughts, I certainly would not want to roast !!

Travelbug11, was the balcony on the shady side of the ship comfortable enough that you could sit out anytime of the day? I'm concerned that it might be windy and cool/cold. Also, did it get any sun at all?

Thanks
