Yes, last winter there were lots of sand sculptures. I will be there in 10 days until the end of March so I will post if they are not there.

Thanks....was concerned because of the aborted/avoided Hurricane Sandra.

The hurricanes have done NO DAMAGE to Puerto Vallarta this year! All we got was a lot of rain from both. There is still PLENTY of sand on the beaches. :D

There were a small number of sand sculptures in the beginning of November. At least one was a work in progress.

Tons of huge rocks on the beach on the Malecon and hardly any sand sculptures.

There were some lovely ones when we were there at New Years.

Just walked the Malecon this morning and there are still 2 excellent sand sculptures.

Due to the exceptional high waves we had from time to time recently some sculptures are gone unfortunately.

These are a couple from 2011 in January there were at least 50 of them
