Baltimore Port - Hotel nearby?

Recommended Posts

We are cruising out of Baltimore in October, and would like to have any recommendations on where to stay nearby the port. We will have our own vehicle and will need to drive and park at the port. Thanks!

Your choices will be to stay in the BWI Airport area or Downtown Baltimore. There are no hotels at the port area. Downtown hotels are about a 15 to 20 minute drive to the port and hotels in the BWI area are about 25-30 minutes from the port. Hotels by the airport include all of the major hotel chains and some of them have park and cruise packages. Most of the major hotels chains can also be found in the Downtown/Inner Harbor area and some of them also have stay and cruise packages. If you are looking to have activities to do consider staying Downtown/Inner Harbor area. Lots of restaurant choices and activities such as the Aquarium, Science Museum, baseball (if the Orioles make the World Series), or Ravens Football. The B&O Railroad Museum is also near the Inner Harbor and is a pretty neat place to visit.

We just went on the Pride April 1st and stayed at Springhill Suites - great rooms at a decent price. The front desk clerk recommended a nice restaurant nearby and after dinner the kids swam in the indoor pool until bed time. We didn't spend a lot of time there but I would definitely stay there again - they had a really nice continental breakfast too ...it's in Linthicum, MD. It probably took 15 mins to get to the port from there ...

the past two years we've stayed at the Admiral Fell Inn in Fell's Point. It is adjacent to the Inner harbor area and across the street from a water taxi stop. They offer a park-stay-cruise package that includes one night, town car transfer to the pier, and eight days parking.

We've booked it again for this July. The hotel staff are amazing, and the hotel itself is very charming. Google Baltimore Harbor Magic and you should find more info :).

we stayed at the Sleep Inn for about $100 which included parking and shuttle to the dock, which worked well.

We booked thru stay123.com. If you are going to be away for more than 5 days, it makes sense.
