We received a similar email here in the States. Most likely, these are voyages that haven't sold as well and capacity utilization is low.

Last year, we purchased a voyage from Southampton to Copenhagen that was originally 10-days in length. Several months prior to sailing, our voyage was split into two separate short sail segments; a 6-day and a 4-day. Hamburg, Germany was the turnaround the port to accomplish this feat.

In general, we noticed very little impact from the short sail voyages on our 10-day voyage. The biggest impact was probably on the crew as they had a mini-turnaround day during the middle of our voyage. We were able to dine in any venue of our choosing on the dates we preferred. Upon embarkation in Southampton, England a total of 243 passengers were onboard representing an 82% capacity level. In Hamburg, a total of 25 passengers disembarked while 36 new passengers embarked, including 25 Japanese nationals, bringing our current total to 254 passengers or 84%.
