I might keep these for my own use. I usually give my Diamond gift to someone at my MDR table who isn't eligible for Plat/Dia handouts.

Best gift I got were plush beach towels from the casino on a premier cruise.

According to John H. They will start giving them out in August. I thought it was a nice little perk!

Great I already have a Bluetooth speaker but maybe can link them and get some surround sound action.

Hook them up via Bluetooth using your smartphone or tablet. Could give them as a gift.

Hopefully they work as well as my free Pringle ones.

Blue Tooth speakers? Don't need or want them. On our Paradise cruise in May we received two backpacks. Didn't want them either, so we just left them. Used to like the Platinum gifts, but not so much lately. :(

As others have suggested, if the platinum gifts aren't your cup of tea, feel free to pass it on to someone else who will appreciate it! Calling it 'worthless junk' is your opinion- to others, it's a nice little perk!

Cruising next month...really wouldn't want the speakers...has anyone ever asked their steward if they have any other Platinum gift stashed somewhere? Seems like we asked for tumblers one time...and got them...I still have the very first one we got.....the nice blue beach bag....last several gifts we have given to grandkids...if they wanted them;p

Jane- I can't see where it would hurt to ask! If your room steward can't help. maybe Guest Services can swap something? If the answer is no, then fine... but if you don't ask, the answer will definitely be 'no'!

Jeebus people... It's a gift. It doesn't have to be given to you.

I accept these trinkets with gratitude of the gesture. If I don't want it or won't use it, I pass it along to someone who may, or I donate it.
