Calling all Diamond Plus members! Tell me what your favorite diamond plus perk is!

Hi...I am a diamond member with 174 points, so after my next cruise I will finally be diamond plus! I'm excited, but when I look at the differences in perks it doesn't seem that big of a deal to me. Maybe I'm missing something so I thought I would ask those of you who are already diamond what you enjoy most about it. Can't wait to hear! Thanks!

My favorite Diamond Perk is having a glass of champagne and my husband having his scotch rocks along with some hot and cold snacks in the Diamond Lounge :) The balcony discount is not too bad either :)

It's an extra 25 bucks from the diamond discount...I'd take it, but, it's IMO nothing special.

Our next RC cruise will be our first as D+ - we're most looking forward to the buy one get one free dinner in speciality restaurant on the first night.

Loved the lunch in the Oasis CL lounge! Also love going into the lounge for pre dinner drinks. We always book a room near the lounge and at night as one person is done getting ready they head down to the lounge. Once every one is at the lounge we head on down to dinner.

Have only used the reserved theater seats once.

I also like the sail away party and the bridge tour.

lol, can you sit in Portafinos for breakfast and lunch too ? I have noticed the reserved seating but it says for gold card holders - but D+ can sit there too can they ? Brilliant :-)

I will also be on my first D+ cruise in 3weeks time, so will let you know if anything else different.... I usually travel solo so the buy one get one free dinner, doesn't help...but love the Diamond/CL lounge for my free Mimosa's!(Bucks fizz)

Has CL been mentioned yet? Seriously I do enjoy that perk, but the balcony discount, internet time, laundry and skipping the muster drill;) are very important as well.

I love the Concierge Lounge on Oasis and Allure. The view is spectacular. It is fun to have breakfasts and lunches there.

On Freedom Class ships it is fun to eat in Portofino for breakfast and lunch.

Yes, absolutely, I agree, that is a huge plus, as you do meet some great folks there..

I'm 26 and I currently have 29 points.

D+ starts at 175, so I'm 146 cruise points away from D+.

Since I live in Canada I can only do one cruise a year. Assuming I do one 7 night cruise a year, that'll be 21 more years until I reach D+, or I'll be 47 years old . When I consider airfare, and cruise cost, one single cruise will set me back $5,000. So in order to get to D+ I'll need to spend $105,000.00 on cruises...... All to get buy one get one free drinks, free laundry and 40 minutes of free internet? Hmmmmmm, something to think about.

Ours is the CL. We really enjoy talking with fellow cruisers, often seeing friends we've cruised with before, and sharing stories about cruising. All in a relaxing atmosphere with drinks and snacks, and a concierge to assist if we need it. Priceless for us.

Have not heard that D+ can use chops or portofino for breakfast or lunch. Really hope so but would like to know for sure. We use the spec restaurants when in a suite, (breakfast and lunch) but did not know it included D+.

Well, I have to admit that it wasn't cheap getting here but, it sure was a lot of fun and have met some very wonderful folks along the way! :D;)

As far as my favorite perk, heck, I like them all! :D
