BEST BEACH TO VISIT 1st time visitors...

Boatyard is very popular - beautiful beach, clear water, good facilities, water toys, etc.

Admission is about $20/adult, including chair rental, one "free" drink (try the shark bite), snorkel tour to swim with the turtles, and taxi back to the ship.

Several other beach clubs along Carlisle Bay (Harbor Lights, Lobster Alive, etc.) - check this board and trip advisor.

Taxi from the port will run about $5 each, or you can walk it in about 20 or so minutes.

I have only been there once so far and we went to the Boatyard because everyone on here highly suggested it. We had a fabulous day and loved our time there and swimming with the turtles (not a full blown tour, but it was a great experience).

My review is in my signature line if you are interested. It has TONS of pictures of the place and how we spent the day. :)

You can walk to the beach from the ship, it takes about 20 minutes, and is under the trees. Plus if you're on a budget you can just access the beach and enjoy the water and sand for free!

Both Harbour Lights and the Boatyard are very popular. You can read more on my blog, Islands Part 2 – Best beaches in Barbados - http://wp.me/p6Ptmi-l7 as I'm a crew member whose home port is Barbados. 😉
