This news is essentially an update on what was reported in 2016.

56 is the total for all three lines...NCL, Oceania and Regent Seven Seas.

It also appears as though this summer NCLH will lease a tender to serve its passengers between Dockyard and St. George, with two new tenders being built for service that would start in 2018.

Have not followed the Bermuda cruise line situation in some time, does any line still dock in Hamilton?

HAL's Veendam; 6 visits in 2017 plus a few upscale cruise ships.

If I haven't miscounted, there are a total of 26 scheduled cruise ship visits to Hamilton in 2017, as well as 14 to St. George. Some are the same ship docking both places on a single voyage, as was common years ago.

The numbers started increasing a couple of years ago when Bermuda permitted cruise ship casinos to open at night while in port, and bumped up more this year with NCLH committing both Oceania and Regent Seven Seas ships to call on Bermuda.

Thanks. When staying on BDM and visiting Hamilton for lunch we see the HAL ship there and it looks like a great port as compared to King's Wharf. We rarely cruise anymore but the Veendam may be a nice anniversary present...

Already answered in post #7.

IN addition to your response, I added the fact Veendam sails from Boston. Perhaps that is of interest to someone reading this Bermuda forum.:halo:

We prefer a younger cruise vibe, but I guess this would be a good time to try a HAL cruise since we would be off the ship for the most part.

Been on Veendam twice to Bermuda from New York and the vibe was about the same as Celebrity to Bermuda from New York. Don't know what it is out of Boston.

Says they went to inspect the tender in Cancun. Holds 400 passengers. Maybe one of UltraMar's ferries

Had the same type of ferries to tender Pax from Anthem to Bar Harbor, ME pier.
