Default Finally, bring back the calypso bands, here's how

We've missed cruising with Carnival for years since we left them and they eliminated the calypso bands. This is something that RCL and NCL do really well, and we have missed the live 4-5 person Calypso / Reggae bands on Carnival and hope they'll be brought back!

John Heald posted there's a new director of live music, and he'd like to know what we love / want / miss. Please express how you feel, it could help bring back what we miss and love.

Keep them away. The musicians were horrible. One drummer playing a three piece drum kit and the guy playing keyboards over prerecord music was almost unlistenable. If you are familiar with reggae, rocksteady, meringue, or soca bands; you know what I mean.

Agreed. Bring back either the GOOD talent, or not at all. The last couple of cruises that still had the live band was HORRID.

I agree! I didn't like the DJ music on our last two cruises! The calypso bands in the past always made me feel like on a cruise vacation and I don't get that feeling with the DJ music.
