Easy Express reviews?

Anyone ever use this transportation company in Fort lauderdale? They have given me a reasonable quote for 3 legs of transportation for 5 of us. I just want to be sure they are reputable and dependable.

Thanks in advance!

Trent, thanks for the link. I did call floridalimo but they wanted around $200. I am looking for transportation from FLL airport to Lago Mar Hotel, then Lago Mar to Port Everglades and finally. port back to airport

I don't know, they may very well be fine, but I live in Ft. Lauderdale and I've never heard of them. That website is pure amateur hour, the pics of the vans are just stock pics, and the bus has Dutch license plates on it... Who knows what they may actually show up in! Personally I would be very nervous of going with a company I know nothing about with a website like that and an AOL e-mail address, but maybe that's just me.

I'd pass on it. It sounds like they are a middle man for transportation companies. They do not own their own vehicles, they outsource to independent operators. There refund policy as posted on their web site raises a few red flags;

TRANSPORTATION / REFUND POLICY:

SHUTTLE SERVICES, UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED ARE DONE BY TOWNCARS OR LIMO-VANS. ANY ARRANGEMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO BE CHANGED BY EASY EXPRESS WITHOUT NOTICE. CUSTOMER IS REQUIRED TO CARRY A WORKING CELLPHONE FOR ALL PICKUPS.CANCELLATION POLICY: CANCELLATION TIME REQUIRED: 72 HOURS. REFUNDS BY CHECK ONLY. ALLOW 1-3 WEEKS FOR PROCESSING.BY READING THE ABOVE AND ORDERING FROM THIS WEBSITE THE CUSTOMER AGREES WITHT THIS POLICY.

There are many reputable owner operator transportation companies in the FLL MIA area. I've used http://larryslimo.com and never had any problem, the previous poster prefers Tri-County who I'm sure is a reputable company. Even Super Shuttle is a decent choice. http://supershuttle.com

I would search this web site and read reviews from other cruisers as to whom they had a good experience with. Avoid firms with unrealistic policys such as that noted above, 72 hour cancellation policy-give me a break, any arrangements subject to change without notice - you've got to be kidding. ;)

Holland Limo seems to be very reputable, I've found several posts endorsing them, and their price seems to be better than some. We will need transportation for 6 from MIA to Fort Lauderdale the day before our cruise sails in January and we are very much considering Holland.

I think it's hollandlimousine.com

Thanks for the advice. I will avoid this company since no one knows anything about them. I think I may just go with 2 taxis as it seems to be the most economical choice.

Can't go wrong there. ;)

I haven't heard of that company, but try Tri-County Express, they're reputable... http://www.floridalimo.com/

Avoid them!

Easy Express failed to provide the services I paid for. This cause us to spend additional money for an alternative shuttle. Refused to refund money. Easy Express or EXECUTIVE EXPRESS LIMOUSINE

failed to honor a pre-arranged commitment which I made on March 15, 2013 for a March 29th shuttle. They kept my money (charged my charge card) refused to pick me up and asked me to take an alternative shuttle which I had to pay for...

Although, I have used this company on previous trips to Florida, their recent service and failure to honor agreed upon commitments caused me undue hardships and additional money.

It all started on March 28, 2013 when Easy Express called and canceled my pick-up at FLL for March 29, 2013. The company said President Obama was visiting the Port of Miami and all shuttles were canceled. They asked me to take the "Go Shuttle". Told me to pay at the airport and they would refund me $50.00 of the $100.00 fee I had already paid them via a credit on my credit card. Easy Express promised to fulfill the second half of the pre-arrangements and to pick us up from our April 6th cruise at the port of Miami.

On March 29th I took the "Go Shuttle" they had recommended and arrived to the Port of Miami in less than forty minutes. There were no problems whatsoever with the other shuttle getting us to our hotel in Miami. The port was not closed at 10 a.m. and we did not encounter any problems getting to the hotel. It was perplexing to us why Easy Express told us all shuttles were closed, but then in their next breath they recommend we take the "Go Shuttle"!

Upon our return from our cruise to Miami on April 6, 2013, Easy Express notified us they would not take us to our destination. They were supposed to pick us up at the Port of Miami and take us to the Hard Rock Hotel. When I called the dispatch to inform them when we were leaving the ship, I was told that Easy Express would not be able to take us the Hard Rock Hotel after all.

The dispatcher said they would drop us off at FLL only. They informed us once we got to FLL to then take a second shuttle - the "Go Shuttle" for $24 each to the Hard Rock Hotel. They promised to reimburse us this fee. This was truly upsetting to us. We felt we were being held over a barrel because we did not get what was promised to us. In addition, the dispatch told us, "Either you accept this or be prepared to pay $100 for a taxi." Please remember-they had already charged us for a round-trip shuttle and they were once again asking us to pay for another shuttle!

Easy Express picked us on April 6th at the Port of Miami and dropped us at FLL. We then had to take a cab and incurred a fee of $26.10 from the Yellow Cab Company to take us from FLL to the Hard Rock Hotel.

On top of that we discovered that Easy Express had failed to credit us the $50.00 they had promised us when they failed to pick us up on March 29th. I am not sure why the company refused to pick us up March 29, 2013. I am not exactly sure why the company failed to honor the commitment they made when we originally made our reservations to take us to the Hard Rock Casino on April 6, 2013.

However, for a fact I do know we paid twice for a shuttle on March 29th and then we had to once again pay twice for transportation on April 6th.

Easy Express promised to refund the March 29th service they failed to provide. They also promised to credit us for the April 6th shuttle from FLL to the Hard Rock. Easy Express did everything to keep from honoring their commitment.

I asked for a refund the week of April 8th. I called five times --- Easy Express continued to tell me they were busy and to call back later. During one call they answered the phone and told me the office was closed.

Their failure to issue an immediate CREDIT on March 28, 2013 is indicative of their BAD business practice. I ultimately had to dispute the charges on my credit card company.

  • 1 year later...

Earlier this year for a cruise later this year, we had booked Easy Express shuttle for transportation from Ft. Lauderdale hotel to Port of Miami and then at the end of the cruise from Port of Miami to the airport. Within an hour of booking and after reading negative reviews that concerned us about their reliability, we called and cancelled although we did not tell them about our concern. The gentleman rudely told us it would take a month to issue the refund and he would charge us a 10% cancellation fee even though we had just booked an hour or less earlier and we had not received an email confirmation of our reservation. A month passed, no refund. We called their phone # and a recording said it was not in service. We then filed a dispute through our credit card company. Two weeks later, we got an adjustment from our credit card company. It does not appear the refund came from Easy Express shuttle as their name or "refund" is not in the refund line item on our online credit card statement and we were not charged the cancellation fee.

We booked SAS transportation for our cruise later this year and for which we read more favorable reviews.

Thought it was best to share our experience, so others could be warned.
