We will be sailing on the GOTS in April out of San Juan, any help with transportation from the airport to the ship and disembarking out of Baltimore, MD. Any info about the BWI port to get to the BWI airport. The ship wants 55.00 per person for tansfers, thought a taxi would be alot less for 4 people.

Any info on a good hotel and we are flying in the day before the cruise. Want something reasonable, clelan and close to the ship.

Taxi from SJU to the ship (or other places in San Juan) is fixed by zone, and is reasonable. When you come out of the airport there is a kiosk there for taxis. You tell the attendant where you want to go and they write up a ticket with the price listed. I think the trip to the ship would be about $20 - $25. They charge extra for bags, maybe $1 each.

No hotels that I can think if very near the ship. As suggested above, check the ports of call boards for hotel suggestions. It was hard for us to find something less than $200 a night using hotel websites. Many people use Priceline and similar sites to get cheaper rates.

there will be plenty of taxis at Baltimore as well. no idea on cost, we live 20 minutes away so always drive. it's actually a wash for us to do so and pay the parking fee for 7 night cruises( anything longer and we'd make out by cabbing it each way)

$55 pp for a 15 mile trip? Yikes. I just went on the BWI site under Ground Transportation. The cab number is 410-859-1100. Though they didn't have the exact cruise port to airport price, they did have other samples. One was from the airport to the Inner Harbor. That is a longer trip than the cruise port and was listed as $35. Cab should be considerably cheaper.

Bob, We used priceline recently. Got the Renaissance Harborfront in Baltimore for $75.
In SJ, there is a Sheraton right across from the port...assuming it is the same port where NCL docks in Old SJ.

You are correct that is a convenient Sheraton. But, our cruise leaves from the Pan Am pier. It is not in Old San Juan.

Thank you for all the information, it is very helpfull. Might try Priceline for a hotel.

There's a very large and modern Sheraton right across the street from the Pan American Pier. It's not on the beach, but it's very nice and convenient.

It's not walking distance though, because between the pier and the hotel there is a small airport, and the runway goes right across where you'd think you could walk.

We spent New Year's Eve at that Sheraton once before boarding the Adventure and had a wonderful time.
