Default Please get a grip everyone!!

Please get a grip everyone. Crew members have died. Thomson are working hard with investigators to sort out the problem. At least they actually check the lifeboats can be lowered and raised - has anyone seen this on other cruiselines??? I'm thankful that they found the problem and are sorting it out.

I would not cruise with larger companies as I cruise solo and it is just too expensive and out of my price range.

I do not wish to get Norovirus as has been on many other larger cruise liners....

I love Thomson and will not cruise with anyone else. Am due to go on Majesty on 3rd May and shall make a donation to the crew fund when onboard.

Well said Tracy.

I have been on Princess and they didn't even check if everyone had turned up for the safety drill! Our friends didn't even bother to go! We met in the theatre and were given a lecture, but no-one checked if we had our lifejackets on correctly!

On Celebrity we didn't even have to take our lifejackets with us for the drill

We came back from the Majesty on Friday and I have felt really upset about the accident. We had a lovely time and hope to book another trip on her soon.

Re your comment about large cruise companies being expensive for solo cruisers, I have a 10 night fly cruise booked with NCL for over Easter I could choose my cabin (at no extra cost ) it was an amazing price that Thomson could not get even close to for their cruises at the same time of year so please shop around the deals are out there

I have seen the lifeboats lowered on every cruise I have been on, often they are used as tenders too.

There was norovirus on Thomson Celebration earlier this year I believe.

I booked a double cabin once on Azamara at bargain price. Then asked how much to have an inside single so the 2 of us could have separate cabins - £1 extra! So paid £130 extra each to have 2 balcony cabins!!!

Shop around for the deals. Don't assume you can't afford anything else!
