Departing from the US, best main stream cruise itenerary for divers

I am looking to book a trip for my family. My DH is a diver so good ports for him to dive is important, kids and I can work out things for us to do almost anywhere, except Nassau (I have absolutely no need to ever go back to Nassau, ever). We did the standard Western Caribbean last fall (Roatan, Belize, Costa Maya, Cozumel) and DH thought the diving was great. We could do the same itinerary again but thought I'd ask for alternatives. Any thoughts? Kids are 8 and 10, trip likely late September/ Early October.

We did the cruise from San Juan....outstanding divjing...5 ports in 7 days. Was a wonderful diving cruise. Jet blue got us there very cheap.

A western Caribben, with Roatan, Costa Maya and Cozumel is always worth doing.

We recently did a Celebrity Eclipse that couldn't have been a much better itinerary for diving: Curacao, Bonaire Aruba (overnight), St. Lucia, Barbados, St. kitts and St. Maarten. We dove in every port. That was a 14 night cruise, which for a lot of people isn't doable due to lack of vacation time, or similar constraints.

Our upcoming RCCL Jewel cruse shows how cruising out of San Juan can get you a lot in a little time. it's a 7-night cruise. St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Dominica, Barbados and Grenada; then a single sea day back to San Juan. This will be another cruise with first class diving in every port.

You might also consider itineraries that also include Grand Cayman, the diving there is nice as well.

norwegian do a western caribbean that includes Roatan, Cozumel, Costa Maya and private island - that is next on my list for diving cruise i think.

The ABC islands have very good diving.
