Hello,

Can anyone recommend a couple of hotels in the Dublin city centre area. We plan on sightseeing and love the pubs.

Budget is not an issue just need insight

If budget isn't an issue, then probably The Merrion would be a nice choice but here are some other places to consider that are also nice and also well located. You'll want to be near Trinity, St Stephen's Green, Grafton Street etc or within a few minutes walk...most are. Note: the prices are in £ as this piece is from the Telegraph so convert accordingly to US $.

Some years ago I stayed at Stauntons on the Green, right on St Stephen's Green with gardens at the back. Not grand, but cosy and comfortable, and very well placed.

Last summer we spent 3 nights at Buswells Hotel, maybe a 2-3 minute walk to St. Stephen's Green. I felt it was a good mix of traditional and updated, and we were very happy with our stay.
