We like Nassau. Been twice and do plan to return. First trip we booked a tour of the city and a semi sub tour through NCL. Still had time to do a little shopping before we returned to the ship. Second time we just shopped on our own and got a horse and buggy tour.
You have to pass the straw market and enjoy the stores. Also for us we have no desire to go to Atlantis. Sure it's got a casino, water park ans aquarium but for what you spend on tickets to go, I can enjoy the city and shop and probably have money left over.
