We leave in 21 days for London and get on our cruise ship in Southampton five days later.

Our next cruise will be when I am older and even less able to walk than I am now. For now we prefer independent trips but the day is coming we will go back to cruising. We had two on Azamara when they were less expensive in the recession. I loved it in many ways but did not like what we term 'going back to the US every night' as we prefer to be more immersed in the local culture. When we do go back to cruises I am looking at the Baltic and St. Petersburg. Azamara has itineraries with two night three day stays in St. P.

We loved our trip to Antarctica but even though it was on a comfortable ship with great food it was not really a cruise. We are looking at seeing the Arctic in a similar way.
