Go Pro Hero 4 silver question

Although the front of the camera is protected in the housing , the skeleton backdoor allows easy access to the touch screen, but means the screen is not protected.Was considering fitting screen protector to the LCD screen but with some new cameras , manufacturers recommend you do not fit them. How do you protect the screen?

No one is complaining of lcd protection. I don't own one but understand plastic like that can easily get scratched, give a protector a shot and report back.
